UPD: did a test: bought all three again, no oil change or anything, equal PP and HP. Went into my online lounge (so that miles stay at zero and don't mess up the PP) and ran half a dozen laps around Suzuka East with tire/fuel consumption off. Best laps are within a few _hundreds_ of a second and the feel is exactly the same. So, BRZ/FRS/GT86 in this game are just different visual skins on the same physical car model.
Really? I did the same thing (bought all 3 with 0 miles no oil change/mods/all traction nannies off) and ran a few laps around Laguna Seca with each. All 3 were within 0.5s of each other with the FR-S being the slowest and 86 being 0.1s slower than the BRZ. I can get the FR-S to a faster time closer to the BRZ/86 if I concentrate more on not letting the tail slip because it does want to lose traction thru corners more. The BRZ doesn't turn in as much as much as I'd like sometimes yet puts power down better as its tires squeal the least through turns (which might explain its faster time). The 86 holds the middle ground turning in well and loses traction easier than the BRZ but feels a touch more composed than the FR-S.

The 86 is the most comfortable to drive fast among the trio. FR-S requires more attention. BRZ feels (sometimes in a bothersome way) numb and its engine sounds more muffled, oddly. Relative to other cars in the game, yes, the trio feels virtually identical. But compared to each other, the differences are subtle but there.

I've also been using the 86 and FR-S in the seasonal drift events that come up every month. Gave them the exact same maxed out tuning mods/tires and that's where their differences became very apparent/obvious... the FR-S doesn't transition into a drift as smoothly as the 86! The FR-S goes into snap oversteer quicker which I guess is good since you get sideways sooner for more points but frustrating to get the hang of.
