Goldwings, particularly the current gen, are much more capable than folks give them credit for. They have a low seat height, low CG and are wicked fast when not burdened down with a week's worth of camping equipment.

I personally am much more comfortable on a 'Wing doing this stuff than I would be a sports bike. Sports bikes are just too twitchy for me.
