I feel the same way. Although once i start tinkering/ playing/ experimenting myself, I can usually adapt to it. Nothing beats a good guide or Mentor -- which is why I look to these Gurus here lol
I do like to tackle each challenge on my own -- its just that much more satisfying in the end.
