Disclaimer: I've already contacted a mod about becoming a supporting member. I'm a forum owner as well :-).

Anyways, hey everyone! My name is Chris, and I've picked up a vehicle and cleverly convinced those in my family that it's for the shop. This will save me a lot of headaches in the future.

I've owned a Scion TC (automatic... ex wife's) and my other vehicle is a modified FJ Cruiser. The last time I could consider myself a sports car enthusiast was when I had a MR2 Spyder (w/ 2zz motor swap). I know some people don't think that was a very good generation for the MR2, but I beg to differ. You just have to have the right mods. No one even knew it was a Spyder. 13.5 in the quarter mile on a 1.8L NA motor wasn't bad.

It's great to be able to purchase a vehicle that has much of the thrill that vehicle did without completely breaking the bank. I got the weight down to around 2150 for the Spyder and hope to do some quick weight reduction here. 16 lbs of unsprung weight with the wheels, whatever a 13 lb Odyssey battery will drop, and maybe a Borla exhaust.

My list of future mods is pretty high, and we should get the car on the dyno this week for baseline runs. I installed a RAM mount for my Ipad 3 the other day and have a set of HID headlights coming.
