Yeah, I was over on GenCoupe for quite a while (was a mod for years up until I stepped down a few days ago) before the car ever hit the ground, so I'm plenty aware that it's been around for this long. Insurance is nuts. The Genesis Coupe isn't classified as a sports car and is lumped in with a 4 door sedan. Makes sense, right? Back in my youngun days (like ten years ago, lol) it was cheaper for me to insure a C5 Vette than my Protege5. My MKV GTI had a higher premium than what I was quoted yesterday, even though I chose a higher deductible and limits. To be fair though, what I was quoted through progressive looks significantly lower than what most people here are paying.
And I'll be honest. Getting pissed and feeling the need to rationalize what you bought because people prefer a car, no matter what your opinion on it is,
on a forum about said vehicle, is just ignorant. You're better off spending time on GenCoupe rather than coming here to defend your chosen vehicle. Of course people are going to like the FR-S and BRZ more here.
