It's a issue for me as what I'd be going for the best response/quickest spool time without suffering from substantial power loss up top. I road race, more then anything so that's the big thing to me. Meaning I'm looking for something with a equal length exhaust manifold with a collector that is going to be divided to utilize a twin scroll turbo properly. With an unequal length exhaust manifold you won't have any benefit when using a twin scroll turbo as there's going to be a difference in exhaust gas turbulence/speed entering the divided housing of the turbo... which "COULD" even make your spool time suffer big time.
There's other factors that will affect your spool time as well. IC piping length/diameter, IC core size, exhaust manifold length/turbos location, thermal coating, etc. etc. etc. but EL is definitely a major benefit, esp in a low displacement vehicle such as ours.
Kit looks awesome like I said before and definitely is going to be probably the cheapest option for all the guys just looking to have a boosted fr-s/brz... But when you're looking for the most efficient way to make the power there's definitely better options out there. Sure we'll see a Full Race kit in a few months that will fit my desires/needs, if I don't go custom fabbed or P&L with a GTX28/2871.
Oh! and also, this thing is going to have some definite rumble... never seen a manifold that unequal. Curious to hear it!
