What I was getting at also, is that MANY cars used to have problems that were never spoken of to such a wide audience. Well not just cars, everything really.
For
Example, mate of mine just fitted 4 brand new tires (this was like 20 years ago, but it did actually happen) to his very well kept muscle car. Now I won't mention any names, brands or locations other than it happened in brisbane. He drove out the tire shop, went a few hundred meters down the road in a straight line (accelerating hard) had a blow out and rolled the car many, many times. He survived, because he got thrown out the car, the steering wheel was pushed in to the drivers seat and the engine was out of the car. Needless to say he didnt buy the tires again lol. But if Internet forums were around back then and used as they are now, I am sure many more people wouldn't, and perhaps the brand would be as strong as it is today
