I never had a head unit in my car when I got it. So I tested 3 different types, and settled on a single DIN JVC. If you already have a head unit, depending on the size you could re-use the one you have. You just would have to move it back in the bracket so the tablet would not touch it.
All you would need is an Aux connector for sound.
