It applies similar. It's a little more scratch resistant because of the chemical makeup. It seems to have a higher resistance to acid and water spots but lower resistance to alkaline from my early testing. Finest is the only coating available currently that can be applied by a detailer that actually comes with a warranty. The bond of finest is the same as opti coat/gaurd which is covelant or permanent. But no long term testing has been done as with opticoat. I put 2-3 layers so his cars going to be protected for a long time! Overall either coating is great I just feel finest has a small edge on certain aspect that we deal with in our area, like acid rain and love bugs.
