IMO Toyota over-reached with the LF-A with the budget and time-frame they adhered to. The FT-86, OTOH, has been gestated very slowly. This means their budget is either similarly minimal and they're milking every yen to make it as good as they can, or they ponied up some coin and it's going to be an incredibly well-sorted vehicle straight out of the box. I don't expect to see any phillips-head sheet-metal screws on the exterior of the FT-86 whatsoever.
