For whatever reason many of today's "sporty" cars (yes, stopping short of calling this a sports car for now) have this issue. Even my 350Z has a terrible stock offset. I have no idea why manufacturers do this. It doesn't really matter to me because I imagine that'll be one of the first things I swap out once I get it home, but it's frustrating to see all of the time and care going into the car's design just to see it come out with a set of 8" wide wheels tucked 2" deep into the wheel wells.
