Damn, it's been a long time since I last posted here - but I've done a lot of lurking over the past couple months.

I'm excited to see the progress and all the spy shots do nothing but make me more impatient. Thanks to Hachi, TRD, and everyone else who has maintained and updated the site.

I've wanted to stay out of the speculation debates, but this one is to hard to ignore. I'm not trying to start anything, but I find these observations to run counter to what TRD has been saying. This prototype is wearing "DST" plates which CA classifies as "New Vehicle Distributor," (new vehicle?) which doesn't mean much except when you look at the STi in front. That car does not have regular plates and is also lacking tags. From what I can tell the plate says "MFR" or "MFG," (but I'm on a crappy netbook,) which would be "Manufacturer" plates. Given this plus the Gs tennis ball, I would wager this is the Subaru version. I would be surprised if Toyota could/would purchase or borrow a STi for testing when it has been using other Toyota vehicles for comparison in Europe.

In any case it doesn't matter. I just want to see the production model, the specs, and a pair of keys in my hand.

PS Toyota is the largest shareholder of Fuji Heavy (16.55%) but does not own a majority of the company.
