also, regardless of what you think, i have been reading all the posts. and the posts on your guys' argument have gone something like: "the celica doesn't have much racing heritage" to after matador's post "the celica has a lot of racing heritage and i respect the older models, but the newer ones gave the name too much of a negative image."

what you've gotta understand, for older guys like zigzagz, matador, and me(i'm honestly not THAT much older than you lol) the racing heritage and history of the older models is MORE than enough to make up for the negative image of the newer models. it simply doesn't seem like that long ago to us. that's why when you guys say something like "i respect the old celicas but the new ones ruined the name" it still seems to us like you're not giving the celica name it's due respect. i mean, look at the newer model levin/truenos. the ae92, ae101 and ae111 were all FF but that didn't seem to ruin the levin/trueno name?
Good points, but just so you know, I'm not (that) old at all.

*My entire argument is just for the people that are crying for this car to be called a Celica.* I rebute with reasons why it shouldn't be. Some are a matter of opinion and the rest are just factual based. Honestly, no one's made any argument against why it shouldn't be called any of the names I and others have come up with, they just argue against them.

And if you'd read my entire post you'd notice I'm in the same boat as you. I don't care what its called, I'm still buying it. Why am I posting all of this stuff? See sentence *

Y'see, I'm the only one actually reading other peoples posts and then responding as if I had. You obviously aren't, Cyde, otherwise you wouldn't have said that to begin with.
I don't think that anybody is insisting that it **should** be called celica, just arguing that there is nothing wrong if it is.
