aw c'mon man, don't take it so personal! as i've said before many times, i own an ae86 myself and like and respect what the car stands for. i'm honestly not much of an intial d fan, but a lightweight hatchback FR is something of an ideal for me, and i
am a fan of tsuchiya-san so i know why this car is beloved (even tho i've never been able to get the one i own running

). the point i was trying to make is that, whether we like it or not, the levin/sprinter trueno name is only known by enthusiasts like us, and not the general populace. so don't be so offended!
also, regardless of what you think, i
have been reading all the posts. and the posts on your guys' argument have gone something like: "the celica doesn't have much racing heritage" to after matador's post "the celica has a lot of racing heritage and i respect the older models, but the newer ones gave the name too much of a negative image."
what you've gotta understand, for older guys like zigzagz, matador, and me(i'm honestly not THAT much older than you lol) the racing heritage and history of the older models is MORE than enough to make up for the negative image of the newer models. it simply doesn't seem like that long ago to us. that's why when you guys say something like "i respect the old celicas but the new ones ruined the name" it still seems to us like you're not giving the celica name it's due respect. i mean, look at the newer model levin/truenos. the ae92, ae101 and ae111 were all FF but that didn't seem to ruin the levin/trueno name?
