Some error codes will put your car into a "limp mode" depending on potential severity of the code, as well as if higher rpm can cause damage. Do a full clear by unplugging your battery for a few minutes, after, let the car idle for a few minutes to start to relearn the MAF. Take it on a short low rpm drive (5-10m) and then run it through the rev-range (3k, then down, 4k, then down, 5k, then down etc).
