Well that was a process,
So here are the steps I did to have a normal stock feeling again.
Just to recap, I am 100% stock and had a bog/hesitation issue with my car after doing a 1-5 pull on a calm, cool night for the first time. 2,500 miles on ODO same factory oil.
PART 1:
-unhook battery and MAF sensor
-keep car in a cool area
-return to car after 2 hours
-Hook up battery
-without MAF plugged in, start you car. let it run until it idles at its stock rpm of around 600rpm and enjoy that Richness smell!(i think)
-once warmed up and idled, turn off the car, plug in the MAF sensor, start car again and wait for idle.
-Turn off car, unhook battery and wait one minute
-Hook battery on the car, verify your tools, plugs, etc is all in order. Set your G mode/S mode/ Rev limiter, stereo settings and start the car. PROCEED TO PART 2
PART 2:
-Once you have completed Part 1, begin to think about where to go because this process takes 40 miles. 20 There, 20 back. the 2nd half wont be long
-Begin your drive
EFFICIENTLY and keep rpm below 2,000 RPM and below 45 mph.
-After 20 miles, pull over/stop and realize how well you have driven
-on your 20 miles trip back, it begins. bring 1st gear up to 2k rpm, 2nd gear up to 3k, 3rd up to 4k, and 4th until you see a red blinking light (
CHANGE GEAR!!!)
-Stop and realize the grin on your face. test out all the gears and celebrate:happy0180:
Now, I know someone has mentioned this already. just wanted to share my experience and the steps I have Done to make this work out. would love to see stock cars with intakes try this or any other stockers, but to each their own. This worked for me.
