I work at a body shop. Some insurance companies actually try to give it an estimate, while others say its their policy that if water reaches lower seat cushion it's totaled....
In the last two years we had 4 flooded cars at the shop. One was just scraped. The other 3 were repaired.
Of the 3, the Toyota Avalon and Acura TL were just fine. Replaced quite a few sensors and modules. A few were replaced a few times since it kept blowing from a short.
A RDX we had was worthless. We had to probably replace ALL the harness and sensors to make it work right. Wouldn't have been worth it.
All had to be aired out for awhile....
The BRZ may be worth a try, but never know til u try....
