There's not a whole lot yet, most people would not want ProEFI as it is a full standalone and is a bit more expensive. And that doesn't pay for the cost of the install and tuner to tune it. Most of you would benefit to wait for another solution. I know there's a few companies working their ass off to get these solutions out there right now. It's early and that's why Ecutek has the stranglehold, because they cracked it first. I know COBB Tuning and others are working on it. There's another company in Arizona that I can't name off the top of my head that is extremely close to getting into the stock ECU.
Those of you that aren't going with a turbo or supercharger or highly modifying your engine would not really be wise to spend all the money on a ProEFI. It could run past $1500 after everything is totalled, between installation and tuning.
These will all be box tunes but should be pretty similar to this box tune, maybe even better.
Praise the day once local tuners are able to buy the software and cheap working cables to tune this car. Then we can have REAL DYNO TUNES.
If you are able to wait, then you could save some money now, save the effort now, save the frustration and waiting of this terrible service. I have half a mind to have my tuner call up Ecutek and tell them how bad of a representative John is for their company. My tuner has already suggested it as he has talked to John as well.
This is only for the people down on the list, thinking about going with Ecutek, or have already experienced the extreme low level of professionalism going on here.
I mean, you're already waiting on the list, maybe another solution will be out once he finally reaches your name. Oh and don't forget that he has already bumped one person to the bottom of his list just because this person made a post that John didn't like. Seriously?
