I've been trying to wrap my head around how much John is actually doing for us. Yeah, there's the NA tune that he's been working on for quit a while. But there's also the bullshit he put up with when he first introduced EcuTek to the forums, the ridiculous hours he's keeping, an E85 NA tune, a 100 octane NA tune, working with a cold air intake vendor to sort out an issue they should have test for in the first place, tuning two different companies turbo kits that we know of, flying back and forth across the country, he had input into Crawford's build though he's mentioned nothing of it yet.... I'm willing to bet I'm missing some.

And this isn't the only platform he's supporting!!

While I can see some validity in the argument that what he's making is enough to support another person, it's only valid if you don't look at the full situation. First off, training the other person would take time that he doesn't have right now. Second he's not bringing in that kind of money or orders every month, this is a singular situation and when it gets cleared up he would have very little use for another employee. Third, even if he did have enough orders to maintain another person, this is one of the businesses that will probably find itself circling the drain if it expands. It relies on his experience, knowledge and dedication. He'll never be able to find someone to match that combination and afford to pay them.

Maybe he should have closed down the group buy at 15 people, but he was trying to offer the deal to as many as possible. He was very upfront, even from the beginning, that as the list got longer the delays would get much longer. Can we please just act like adults?

I just hope John is able to keep a thick skin about all this.

BTW, I'm in Halifax, NS if anyone needs to borrow my cable.
