I would suggest raising it so that it is even with the brake pedal and see if it makes a difference. I put mine too low initially and didn't like how the clutch grabbed/released. I was happier with it a little higher than the brake- but try different heights yourself and see what you like. Just loosely tighten the nut by hand and drive it around the block and see how you like it. You can easily make adjustments without having to grab your wrench each time until you are happy with it.
Once you find a good pedal height, then just tighten the nut.
