Given a large enough brake rotor and enough pistons to stop the car on the dime (and repeatedly do so under track day conditions), I'd want to go with the smallest wheel size possible, because the smaller the wheel, the less power-sapping rotational mass there is. I'd be plenty happy with 17" wheels if they can accommodate brakes that are strong enough.
Any idea what the specs are for those Subaru (JDM Legacy STI?) wheels? bolt pattern and offset, wheel size and width?
