Hey guys, on the loose screw issue I would like to point out that we use the same brass threaded inserts on all of our kits and have never had this number of complaints about them coming loose. My first thought was that it's because it's a boxer and it runs a little rough, but that doesn't make sense when diesel's and UTV's are fine. All I can think is maybe the black coating changed something? We usually use plain stainless steel hardware, but we made the lid and hardware black at the forum's request.
Either way, please understand that this can happen when you lead with the first product of any kind. We went above and beyond on R&D, but we still can't match the thousands of miles on hundreds of vehicles that you guys will put our product through. I hope the community can see our commitment to stand behind the product and make everything right.
A step has been added to the instructions about using thread locker, and that should be all that is needed.
