Have you been following this issue at all? All of the information should be in this thread...
I have already had my exhaust cam sprocket and OCV replaced. The ECU threw P0019 again, immediately.
The ECU arrving tomorrow is brand new, shipping from Japan on what has been a very long leadtime but seems to have been shortened.
This ECU is believed to resolve the P0019 CEL issue. Subaru are building this thing up to be the silver bullet...so I'm not sure whether I'll laugh or scream if it doesn't work. How it does this is another matter. Two thoughts there. Either the engine is actually fine, and the ECU really is too sensitive, or the ECU is simply being told to ignore what's currently causing the P0019 issue. We should give Subaru the benefit of the doubt here and assume that they're responsible designers.
However, I'm really curious what would necessitate an actual hardware replacement vs a simple reflash. I can think of many things that could...I just wonder which it is. I'm sure only portions of the ECU are externally reprogrammable. There could also be a bad component, or something.
