When I need to pull out into traffic quickly, I can feel the stability control system and/or the traction control system modulating the throttle as I turn so there is no wheel-spin. I'm not sure if it's the traction control or the stability assist that bottlenecks the engine more, but with them off, it allows for more throttle during corners and during launches.
I can't stand it when i'm trying to accelerate quickly while the assists are forcing me to back off.
As far as differences go, it is during spirited driving only. If you're just putting around town, you won't notice a thing. I always turn them off unless it's pouring rain... I'm also averaging about 28mpg
