Price dictates everything about a car; from performance to looks. Sorry to break that to you. Toyota does not have an infinite amount of money to do R&D + production on their model lineups. They have a fixed budget of X. Now that budget has to be spread across their whole lineup; from the lowly Yaris at $13k up to the $400k LFA. Now tell me which car will get the extra time and attention during development? Hell Toyota put so much time and money into the LFA that they lose money on each one of them. You want $100k looks out of a $25k car. Not gonna happen. This car will look like a $25k car. You can call that bland, dull, ugly, lack of inspiration, no character...etc. But in the end that is what we are gonna get. The 5axis FR-S was a one off concept car. That will not make production. The complexity of manufacturing all of those body panels with the cool curves and lines adds money in the tooling/production process. Guess what, aluminum doesn't come out of the ground looking like body panels for the FR-S. It is much easier and cheaper to produce a body panel that looks "plain" vs. one that is "sexy." Whether or not you want to accept those realities is up to you.
You have still failed to show me a car priced in the $23-25k price point (where the FT-86 is expected to be at) that looks like the FR-S concept. Until you do, all of your points are moot and have no basis in the terms of reality.
