My MR2 Spyder(2100lbs) gets great gas mileage, is still faster(an estimated 160HP and 7 sec to 60) than most production cars, especially around a track, and is still more fun than my 330HP G37 Coupe (which is 2 seconds faster to 100MPH than an STI and 5 seconds faster to 130).
With the price of gas and $80 fill ups on My G37, I'm in as long as they keep the weight down. 200HP is plenty if they keep it light.
