I was really glad to find this thread, as I was quite curious to see if Toyota/Scion/Subaru hit the demographic they were aiming for.
The Scion brand was introduced to target the under-30 crowd, but buyers of the original xB skewed much older. I think they really hit the mark with the FR-S. While driving the FR-S I've got quite a few thumbs up from younger drivers. When I had my Boxster, I just got a lot of envious glares from my middle-age neighbors.
