I'm cancelling my order of my 86 next week but before I do, if there’s anyone out there who'd like to pick up the order instead, yell out in this thread.
It's a DGM 86 GTS 6MT on order at Lane Toyota, Glen Waverley (Victoria).
The order was placed 23 June 2012 with an expected arrival time in November. The Customer Web Tracking site has not updated with a production date yet, so the arrival date might be December/January. Still, better than joining the 86/BRZ queue now.
The salesperson I've dealt with there was Tommy, straight out honest bloke who knew his stuff about the 86. Other members on the forums can vouch for him as well.
I've placed a $500 deposit for the order and a condition to finance strictly with my bank.
I'm not looking for any profits giving my order away, just my deposited amount back.
Reason for cancelling? I've got a CBS BRZ coming. I like the BRZ front and for the past decade+ everyone in my family has a Subaru, my first car was a black swift (the black sheep of the family).
If you're interested, we should meet up there and we can talk to Tommy about changing the details of the contract over.
