Considering most of the occurrences are centralized to a series of dealers in particular areas (ie, primo/hammer & 3 from this dealership and 4 from that dealership, its hard to imagine the problem is as "wide spread" as its made out to be). Potentially 40 cars chronologically produced with a defective part unforeseen by the quality checks currently in-place?! Just saying its a possibility.
I understand the frustration the issue could bring, but then again, we all assumed that risk buying a first year model.
No discount to the people who have the issue, but this forum has shown there are numerous people who don't know the difference between the car warming up, and an actual problem. Therefore, the percentage potentially affected is likely low, so the masses have nothing to fear. To calm those worried even more, this isn't some mythical creature... It's a fucking engine, it will get straightened out.
