The left one was much further out and toward the center of the car. Then in the morning they were almost back to even (not quite). It is as if one of the pipes is expanding or something when the exhaust heats up, causing the muffler section to twist slightly.

Not sure, but if you look closely at mine the driver side tip sticks out
very slightly. Like 1/8", maybe even less.
