BUT rice is something that adds no performance to a vehicle and is there for a "look at me" factor. It's not really an "each to their own" thing... Desired exhaust sound is for sure, but not the definition of rice. It reduces the performance and adds to a look at me factor. Pretty straight froward stuff.
Yeah, LEDs and fart cans are rice for the same reason this is. They add no performance and add to look at me... Same thing, just your example is the opposite end of the scale....
As I said, if someone wants that sound, good for them, we all have our own opinion on waht sounds good, but it detracts performance. Simple.
