Well Scion is exclusive to North America...outside there is no Scion. To help the North American-only brand grow, Toyota decided to brand the 86 (they assumed it would sell well enough) under Scion as the FR-S of course..and in June Scion sales boosted a whole lot...needless to say it worked. If we didn't have Scion, then 99% it's a Toyota. However, its hard to say whether the equipment would be the same. (led drl, keyless, navigation, etc.)
