IMHO, the Nav unit is no better than an aftermarket unit -- In fact, the way it functions, it might as well be aftermarket. Others have mentioned its unintuitive settings screens. What I would add to that is that none of the car's functions are integrated into the NAV unit -- at least that I have found so far. My other experience with an OEM Nav unit was on my Z. On that unit, all the computer functions including gas mileage history, maintenance reminders, HVAC displays, etc. are integrated into the NAV unit's display. I get none of that with the BRZ unit. It is simply a NAV + radio with no other native car functions accessible through the unit.
