I wanted a
Cayman R even before I bought my previous MX-5... But it just isn't the right car for me at this point in my life. Close to $70k spent on a 2 seat sports car, and then tracking it regularly... Just couldn't justify the purchase, especially since
one can have so many other expenses / priorities in life.
The FR-S was the most wise decision for me, and I would've regretted not opting for it.
I'm a happy camper.
