On a side note. I never disconnected by battery before or after I installed my intake. IMO, the ECU will continuously learn given different variables so I left the battery connected. Mine runs fine. Well more than fine.
I can't speak for others, but I have tried both approaches. I can confirm that the ECU constantly adjusts. There are 8 or so A/F learning parameters that are constantly adjusted depending on mods. I've logged the differences between the two intakes, so it definitely changed the values. Values after a "hard reset" were virtually identical to values without a reset, after learning.
