No, I don't normally floor the car from 1500 rpm, and I do expect a 2 liter to bog that low. But I DO use first gear to take off from a stop. And that SHOULDN'T bog lol
Yeah just came back from just trying to replicate this and no dice. Not calling you a liar. I rev up to around 1.5k-2k range to take off from a stop normally and never experienced anything odd. It kind of sucks that this won't work well with an off the shelf tune but that's to be expected imo, especially this early on. It'd be nice to know the exact cause though so it can get fixed. Really, a custom tune would be best anyway but hardly anyone knows what they are doing yet.

Anyway, here it is installed. It sure does look pretty with the stainless top.



Took the snorkle out, left the sound tube in and went with just a bare metal lid. No other mods. The intake sounds fantastic and the build quality is top notch. It feels more powerful but that could be the sound. I swear it's almost like I put an exhaust on the car, it's so much louder at WOT. I might just pass on an exhaust for a while until things are sorted out more. This intake is pretty much silent at cruise and idle, just like stock. Go WOT and you can definitely hear it. It really starts wailing at redline, pretty sweet.

Moving the MAF wiring attachment point worked great to get the harness out of the way of the pulleys. I found that installing the 3 screws that hold the intake to the box after completing the wiring helped with the install. My package was missing a few non essential little things, I called airraid and after 2-3 minutes and minimal hassle, parts are on the way. A+ there.
