Why is the air intake/filter at the hottest point of engine bay?
There is no sense taking in air at 180-200f then compressing and adding at least 150f more before trying to scrub it all off through Intercooler which can only get rid of 65 - 80ish % of whatever temp air came in at. Customers in a hot climate would want to be careful indeed
It's a definite redesign point for next kit iteration AP
Will make turbo compress with less loss (internal leakage due to very hot/thinned air) and provide a lower temp to throttle body allowing either safer tuning or more aggressive tuning. Probably longer turbo life too if truth is known.
In taking hot underhood air is not the go for any true performance arrangement
