How do you know the engine gets hot as compared to stock? Burning fuel always makes heat, are you seeing specific indicators of heat like higher engine water temp or ........? Or do you think it smells hotter or you see whisps of smoke?

If you see/smell none of these things then you may be ok

The idle should be smooth as stock, no reason to be otherwise at all
