Despite it being an econobox after all of these years, the SI is still a very very good car.
Turn it into a sedan and it's a WAY better DD than the BRZ.
The reasons why I didn't buy a Civic this time around, is 1. I've owned 2 already (2000, 2002), 2. I think it needs a bit more power, 3. It's a Civic; I wanted something a bit more adult.
Ironically the BRZ, despite being a bit more impractical and driver focused, seems more adult to me.
It's funny how defensive you guys get when a car like the Civic "competes," don't be, because it doesn't. You buy the BRZ/FRS partly for the feeling and that's something the Civic will never have, or in my case regain.
