When you're "cornering" at 120+mph (S2ks with big wings are doing 130-135mph) the BRZ/FR-S is quite "planted". The rearend is significantly more stable than the base S2k. Even the CR will feel somewhat floaty, but that rear wing does keep the rearend a little more tame. I drove a base 08 AP2 prior to the BRZ and hit about 125mph+ before the turn. The moment I added a few degrees of angle, the car's rearend felt very floaty and there were noticeable corrections needed to be made with the steering. Since I didn't want to risk crashing someone's car, I decided to go 50% throttle instead of 100%. This dropped the speed down to about 115-120mph and did not feel very confident.

From that experience, I knew straight off the bat the aero on the BRZ/FR-S was significantly better than the S. The car still produces lift, but definitely not in the same order of magnitude that the S2 does.
I was hitting 125 when you were in the car. I was hitting 128 when I went solo

Some data points for the others in the thread.

I won my class in S2k Challenge with an "undermodded" car. S2k CR with wheels, tires (RS3), exhaust, and tune. The S2k was hitting a Vmax of 128 entering Turn 1. Exiting Turn 2, I am able to hit 132-133 before I have to brake for T3. The S2k enters the front straight at about 88-89 mph. I dare say that I am driving the car at 99% of the limit, especially considering how non-technical this track is.

The BRZ hit a Vmax of 128 entering Turn 1. However, the car lacks the power to push through in 6th gear, so I have to sit near the limiter in 5th. It also scrubs more speed due to the rear not being pushed forward, even at WOT through Turn 1/2. I exit 2 at 125, and never get past 128 before having to brake for T3. The BRZ enters the front straight at 83-84 mph.

The BRZ is at about a 55hp disadvantage, but is able to accelerate up to the same Vmax in the same distance, while starting at a lower speed. The car is slips through the air far better than the s2k, which I originally speculated months ago. Both the CR and BRZ have been dynoed.

The BRZ does create rear lift at speed, so it doesn't completely address the S2k's aero flaws...
