Reading this post made me think. Grats on the Kid first hand.
When I talk to my father about his car history, he always regrets getting rid of his toys of the time. He had three 1970 Pontiac GTO's. He sold two of them before I was born. He kept his last one after my sister was born and even put the car seats in the back seats. But he sold it when we moved and said this to me. " I sold it because I didn't want you to died." when I was 16. When I was 18, he said "I wished I never sold my GTO." Granted it was American Muscle and not an import, he loved the car so much. He had to get rid of his land rovers when he got into accident in all three of them.
But he told me to keep the Suzuki in the family. (I don't care what you said about Suzuki, it is a perfect reliable car. Every car is if you take care of it.) So I plan to use that car when I have kids and hopefully pass it down to them. While I have the "Sport" car in the family :-)
