Not hurting for money before kids can quickly become hurting for money after kids.
Also, it's a bit harder to find the cheap decent cars anymore. Between drastically reduced new car sales, cash for clunkers and the number of used cars that seem to get snatched up and shipped off in containers to China, the pre-owned inventory is drastically reduced.
