Both cars are titled in my name and the work car obviously won't go to her. But I'm pretty sure everything in MA is considered communal property. We have a townhouse bought in 2004.... which won't be worth what we paid for it for a while still. If one wants to keep it, we can - or just give it back to the bank. I would probably keep the Miata and she'd take the FR-S. I'm not sure how retirement funds get split up, but we're pretty even there too (she's smarter with money, started earlier).
I met her with nothing but a couple of 3rd gen f-bodies. Everything I have now we have pretty much acquired together. Yeah, I made more money along the way, but I also travel a lot for work and she's the one taking care of the place/cats/dog.
I feel it's been a partnership and we're both entitled to half of whatever we've acquired together.
