Can't say I've driven if very long distances in the day, but the engine temps seem to be OK. I suspect it won't be a problem given that I'm keeping the engine stock and it's not exactly overstressed.

Dodgy sales tactics occur here too. I had a well-known German car brand salesman tell me that the 2.0L turbo version of a car was faster going from 0-100km/h than the 2.3L N/A version it replaced. I asked him for the details and proof. He got the brochures and then pointed to a figure which was lower. However, he was not pointing to 0-100km/h but to another figure (I don't remember which one). When I pointed to the right figure and said something like "Isn't it this one, and isn't it slower?" he (without missing a beat) said "Oh yes, it's this one - yes, it's slightly slower" and didn't even bother saying anything else. In fact, he kept smiling, as if nothing had happened.

That brand makes good cars, but salespeople like that (i.e. who seem to think they can treat you as a numbnut because you can afford to and will probably want to buy the car anyway) really turn me off.
