in westurn countries with laws and standards yes the "L" models do have longer chassis, my old 7 series "Li" in new zealand was about a foot longer in the back.
but in wildwest china, the "anything to get a sale" tactics pervails. so lying cheating and missleading is not uncommon, YOU CANT TEST DRIVE ANY CAR" before you buy, not even high end ones, the only option is to be invited to a "driving day"
when our cars need a service in shanghai i mark every replacable part with a paint pen or sticker to ensure then do what they say, bmw wouldwide offer a 3 year 30,000 - 50,000km warrenty, in china its 1 year 20,000km.
