so i was screwing with mine now that i have my avic-x940bt almost completely installed and i learned a few things. in case anyone wanted to split their connections i can tell you now that it WILL work. audio can be split from the aux jack. now some people may be asking why this is a big deal. WELL if you are trying to connect an idevice to the avic-x940bt at least your cable has to split into both usb and aux or it won't work. that means if you plug those into the hu harness then you no longer would be able to use the factory aux for anything else. i found that using a y splitter for the aux will allow you to plug in either a regular device through aux or an idevice. i also found that the avic-x940bt does in fact support usb hubs as well. so this also means you could potentially split that. it shouldn't be an issue if you're using standard usb or only want one idevice connection and the rest can be regular usb, but if you want more than one idevice connection then i'm not so sure yet. i'm going to do some more testing to see if i can create more than 1 idevice connection. woo!
