Customer Service is Customer Service. No one is running around worrying about you and your car. They have a process in place to respond to customer complaints. That's all. So, as many have advised, if you have a complaint, start the inquiry (and perhaps remedy) process by calling the customer service number and visiting your dealer, and bringing the matter to someone's attention.
N.B. To all those who said that there would be no problems with a first model year car because Toyota had done soooo much research and development over the past many years blah blah blah, hope you learned something, to wit, there are always problems with first model year cars. That's the reality (not your wishful thinking).
