A bit of a problem

I wasn't sure where the best section of the forum to post this was but this section seems to be the most appropriate. I'm not registered on any other automotive forums other than Honda-Tech and I need some more second opinions on this subject so I thought I'd post this here.

The problem is with my 95 Acura Integra LS. Automatic unfortunately but anyway. Last week I started getting this strange noise coming from the front of my car engine bay area. When I start up the car in the morning its really loud but as the car warms up it's not as loud but still audible. When I'm driving, it gets louder as I give it more gas. It sounds like an R/C motor or something. It's hard to describe the sound. I think the best example would be someone running on a treadmill that is not on. As in forcing the tread on the treadmill. Now I had 2 different mechanics look at it. One I trust and one i don't. The one I don't trust said that he was certain it's 2 problems, one being the wheel bearing, and one being something with my A/C pump. Now the wheel bearing would only run me like 80 bucks so I'm cool with it but the A/C problem would run me 400ish.

The mechanic I do trust, ran the car for a few blocks and said he's not 100 percent sure what the problem is and that he would need to open up the engine valve cover to see whats going on inside. He said it can be the wheel bearing which he doesn't think it is. Now I wanna get some opinions from people here on the forum as to what they think it might be. I'm not looking for answers but just input from people on what they believe it might be. I'm having the mechanic I trust take apart everything on Saturday to figure it out. He said it if the A/C, he'll just cut one of the lines and I won't have A/C or if I want to pay to have it fixed.
