Cam shaft sensor codes seem to be a common problem reported on this forum in regards to the idle dip.
I've never seen an OEM "feature" of idle hunting. It always indicates a problem, whether it be a vacuum leak or something like this cam shaft sensor problem. When they A/C compressor kicks in? Sure you might see a dip; hunting like this is beyond being a normal function like that though.
