Basically, what it means is that your part number was replaced by the newer part number.
Supercede means that this is the greater (newer) part.
Supersession means that a greater (newer) part is now what is used.
I can't quite track what you're trying to demonstrate in your example. However, here is a pic of what it looks like at their online catalog.

Just been given the wrong part number yet again by my local dealer, and I need to give them the number of the new part, and specify I want exactly that.
In this case I ordered a new serp belt tensioner, and asked for 23769AA110 as per this parts fiche:
https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_20...3769AA040.html
But I got given part 23769AA111, which doesn't fit.
However if I look at the parts fiche for the forester, the 2 parts appear interchangeable:
https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru__/...3769AA111.html
So - when I see:
Part Number: 23769AA040
Supersession(s): 23769AA110
Does it mean the current part is 23769AA040, and the old part is 23769AA110, or is it the other way around?
Thanks!
