I will say there was no difference in drone or sound between stock and JDL UQFP with my HKS. Bigger difference was made between OFT and Waynerom tune. Well my stock FP leaks so it also made a hissing sound sometimes, but other than that I didn't notice any difference.
I haven't tried using the stock FP with the Apexi yet so can't confirm there, but swapping tunes made the same kind of difference.
